These terms govern your use of myfinanceplatform.com, including its calculators, guides, downloadable templates and newsletter (together, the “site”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site provides
My Finance Platform publishes educational material about retirement and personal finance:
- Calculators that run in your browser and estimate results from the figures you enter
- Guides that explain rules, trade-offs and worked examples
- Excel and Google Sheets templates you can download and use
- An email newsletter
Most of the site is free. We may offer paid products, such as premium templates or a paid edition of the newsletter. Any price is shown before you buy.
2. Educational information, not advice
Everything on the site is general, educational information. It is not investment, tax, legal, insurance or financial-planning advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or product. My Finance Platform is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer or law firm, and using the site does not create an advisory, fiduciary or professional relationship with us.
Calculators and templates produce estimates based on your inputs and stated assumptions; actual results will differ. Tax rules, limits and program rules change, and figures on the site may not reflect the latest change or your particular situation. Examples use hypothetical people. 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the site or to subscribe to the newsletter.
4. The newsletter and email
When you subscribe, or give us your email to download a template, you agree to receive our newsletter and related emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your email address.
5. Templates and content: what you may do
The site's text, calculators, charts, templates and other content belong to My Finance Platform and are protected by copyright. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for your own and your household's planning. You may print and share pages or results with your own advisers and family. You may not resell, republish, redistribute or offer our templates or content as part of a product or service, or remove our notices, without our written permission. Short quotations with a link back to the page are welcome.
6. Purchases
If you buy a paid product, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout, along with any applicable taxes. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor under its own terms. Digital products are delivered electronically. If something is wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will handle refund requests case by case.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break any law or regulation in using the site
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, or interfere with how it works
- Use automated tools to copy the site's content in bulk, or submit automated sign-ups
- Upload or transmit malicious code
- Impersonate another person or provide false information
8. Links to other sites
The site links to government agencies and other sources for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
9. No warranty
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep figures accurate and current, but we do not warrant that the site is complete, error-free or up to date, or that it will be available without interruption.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Finance Platform and its founders will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any financial loss, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, calculators or templates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Finance Platform and its founders from claims arising from your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend or end access to the site or the newsletter for anyone who violates these terms.
13. Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
